What are proats? Protein-oats! Genius huh? A friend showed me – you cook your oats with protein powder and call it proats!
You will need:
- 1/2 cup rolled organic oats
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp cacao nibs
- 1 serve chocolate protein powder
- Almond milk
- 1/2 cup berries
- toppings:
- maple syrup
- LSA
Cook the oats, cinnamon, cacao nibs and protein powder (i used teresa cutter healthy chef’s WPI chocolate) in almond milk over a low heat for 5 minutes. As you notice it starts to get gluggy and smooth the mixed berries (make sure they are organic to avoid nasty pesticides!!).
Let the berries cook through and pour into a bowl to serve.
Top it with your favourite toppings and enjoy! I love LSA, cacao nibs and extra berries maybe a little drizzle of maple syrup too 🙂
